My journey with horses started just like many of our riders' did—with a childhood love for the sport that stayed with me for life. After stepping away for twenty years to focus on the deeply rewarding work of raising my children, the horses eventually called me back.
This opportunity to own a farm only became a conscious dream a few years ago. Looking back, I realize that all of my experiences over the years were quietly preparing me and building toward this chapter, even when I didn't know it yet.
Crown Point Equestrian is so much more than anything I could have ever dreamed of, and without the loving support of my wonderful husband, this dream would still be just that.
Today, my goal remains simple: to maintain a safe, peaceful, and enriching environment where our team, our riders, and our horses can learn and grow together.
Mary Jones, Trainer
Mary Jones has been operating her program out of the Pittsboro/Sanford area for over 20 years and has brought many students from learning to post to earning championships and year end awards at shows.
In addition to training and teaching hunters and jumpers, and working with young horses, Mary has also trained and shown Dressage through the FEI level. She has her USDF bronze and silver medal so is very qualified to not only teach dressage lessons but she can also instill correct basics on young horses and fix flatwork issues with hunters and jumpers.
Mary has a natural gift for breaking down complex riding principles into steps students can understand and implement. Through her patience and dedication, time and time again her students she coaches and horses she trains reach new heights of growth and development.
